This walking tour will teach you how to photograph one of the UK’s greatest cities at night using your own camera. With all the excitement and culture Manchester has to offer this is an extraordinary opportunity and you will learn from a professional guide how to get the most out of your DSLR camera (not supplied).

You’ll be taught how to capture fantastic images of the cityscape by taking control of your camera and learning about aperture, shutter speed, lighting and composition. With some of the most famous landmarks in the country as your focus, this hands-on, creative, practical and fun tour will give you the knowledge to continue to take great photos for years to come.

What happens on the day?

On arrival at the meeting point in the city, you’ll be greeted by your professional guide who will lead you on a fascinating walking tour. This two hour experience will teach you how to take great images at night, using your camera’s manual settings to achieve exciting effects that you never thought possible.

You’ll be taught about how to effectively use aperture, shutter speed, lighting and composition to enable you to take stunning images wherever you go. Enjoy taking photos of some of the most iconic landmarks in this spectacular experience you’ll never forget.

Availability

This experience is available on selected weekdays.

We recommend you book four to six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available.This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher.  All bookings are subject to availability.

How long should I allow for this experience?

Please allow approximately two hours for the whole experience. The start and finish times will vary slightly throughout the year to enable you to get the best lighting in any season.

Additional information

For this course, you will need to be at intermediate level of photography, know your way around the controls of your camera and want to build on the foundation of knowledge you already have.

A tripod is recommended but not essential.

You will need a DSLR camera (Digital Single Lens Reflex). A compact, standard digital camera will not be sufficient. Please call the supplier for further details and types of cameras to bring. The camera is not supplied.

There will be a maximum of ten people on the course.

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location.

What about insurance?

Complete Forensics C.I.C. holds public liability insurance. We also hold liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation policy, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
