You’ll learn from a professional forensic photographer how to use your DSLR camera’s manual settings to achieve better photographs in forensic photography settings, the rules of evidence and how to provide photographic evidence in courts of law.

You will also learn the basics of intelligence photography. Using your skills to capture images which will not be used in court but can be used for identification, asset tracking and other covert uses.

You’ll receive advice and also be able to test out your new skills with expert tuition in this creative, hands-on, and practical course.

What happens on the day?

On arrival at the centre at the allocated time, you will be welcomed by your professional photographer. This four day photography course will provide you with practical and creative skills to help you get the most from your DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera in some of the most challenging of conditions.

Use of exposure, light and aperture in crime scene photography,

Manage the workflow of a scene,

Mortuary Photography,

Injury Photography,

Macro photography,

Surveillance Photography

Intelligence and Asset tracking photography

Manipulation of images - what is and is not allowed.

Suitable for more accomplished photographers this course will teach you essential skills to help you produce stunning pictures that you can produce in evidential, covert or intelligence cases.

This experience is available throughout the year.

We recommend you book at least four to six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available.This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher.  All bookings are subject to availability.

How long should I allow for this experience?

Please allow four 8 hour days for this course.

Additional information

You will need a DSLR camera (Digital Single Lens Reflex). A compact, standard digital camera will not be sufficient. Please call us for further details and types of cameras to bring.

We hold public liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
